The Wax Museum
The Santa Rosa Institute's proud association with the Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency began with the discovery of the vampire vaccine in 1950 . While the vaccine was being distributed throughout the world, the Institute supervised scientific research into vampire and zombie DNA for possible human applications. When the FVZA was disbanded in 1975, Congress appropriated money for the creation of a museum to honor the Agency; the Institute was chosen as its home.

Pecos Theater
The FVZA Museum contains displays of weapons, uniforms and artifacts collected from over two centuries of American history. Visitors can see the fang necklace of legendary New Mexico vampire hunter Billy Payne, or the actual lab where vaccine was discovered. And if you need to get off your feet for awhile, our popular Pecos Theater has free hourly showings of a movie on the history of the FVZA.

Shogun Armor
Among the highlights of the new International Wing are a rare mummified vampire from Ancient Egypt, shrunken zombie heads from New Guinea and the world's largest collection of Japanese vampire-fighting armor. Children especially love our wax museum and interactive displays. We frequently rotate our large inventory of vampire and zombie artifacts, so there's always new things to see!

The FVZA Museum has something for everyone. We're quite sure that a day with us will give you a lifetime of appreciation for what the Agency has meant to this country...and the world.
